Healer. Bodyworker. Nervous System Guide.

About Eliza Volk

Hi, I’m Eliza, and I act as a guide for those who are ready to come home to themselves.

For over 15 years, I’ve supported people through the sacred work of embodied healing. I use a blend of intuitive bodywork, ThaiVedic healing, and Somatic Experiencing to help clients reconnect with the wisdom of their bodies, release what no longer serves, and reclaim their vitality, clarity, and soul alignment.

But my story didn’t begin in a classroom or certification training. It began in the quiet.

On a small farm just north of New York City, I was the kind of kid who could feel what lived beneath the surface. I was deeply connected to nature, the unseen, and the in-between. I knew when something was off, even if no one said a word. That knowing eventually became my compass.

I studied psychology and environmental studies at the University of Vermont, where I began to understand how disconnected we are from our bodies, our emotions, and the earth, and how that disconnect is mirrored in our personal and planetary crises.

After college, I worked in outdoor education and noticed how time in nature profoundly regulated children’s nervous systems. I knew then that healing wasn’t just about talking. It was also about returning: to nature, presence, and body.

The Path of Bodywork and Beyond

In 2011, I moved to Asheville, North Carolina, to deepen my studies in massage therapy. From the beginning, my work felt different. I could intuitively find the exact places where someone’s body held pain. This would not only release physical tension, but also emotional weight, old patterns, and unspoken truths.

One early client had lost feeling on the right side of his body after a stroke seven years prior. In our first session, sensation began to return. He cried. I cried. And I realized something important: the healing that moves through me isn’t just mine. It’s something older, wiser, and deeply loving. I am a vessel. My work is a collaboration with the body, with the spirit, and with the person’s deepest truth.

From there, I traveled the world studying with masters and elders. I trained in ThaiVedic bodywork, which blends Thai massage, Ayurvedic wisdom, and yoga. I assisted and later co-taught ThaiVedic trainings and co-led immersive retreats. I sat in sweat lodges. I traveled with Grandmother Karina, offering womb healings and women's medicine work in Costa Rica. I learned how energy moves through the body and how to trust the sacred, often unconventional forms that healing can take.

Sometimes that looks like deep tissue massage.

Sometimes it’s a stretch, a shift, a feather, a song.

Sometimes it’s simply sitting with someone in stillness as their body remembers it is safe.

The Power of Nervous System Healing

The most profound turning point in my work came when I began to integrate Somatic Experiencing, a trauma healing and nervous system regulation modality, into my sessions. This work gave language to what I’d always sensed: that healing doesn’t happen through force or catharsis. It happens through presence, titration, and allowing the body to complete what was once incomplete.

Many of us are walking around with old, unprocessed emotions—grief that was never witnessed, fear that never felt safe to speak, boundaries that were crossed without repair. Our nervous systems carry these imprints. Until they’re met, metabolized, and gently released, they keep us looping in patterns, reacting instead of choosing, surviving instead of creating.

We don’t heal trauma by reliving it. We heal by slowly building capacity to stay present with what once overwhelmed us. We heal by being met safely, gently, and with reverence. That’s what I offer..

This Is the Work

My sessions are a co-creative experience that draws on everything I’ve studied and everything I’ve lived. Whether we’re working on the massage table, the floor, or through a screen virtually, the intention is the same: to help you come home to your body, integrate your past, and move forward with clarity and aliveness.

Healing your nervous system is one of the most radical and loving things you can do, not just for yourself, but for the collective. When we stop reacting from unprocessed trauma, we start creating from a clear, empowered place. We become more compassionate partners, parents, leaders, and visionaries. We interrupt the patterns. We open toward joy. We remember what it means to trust life again.

This work is personal, yes. And it’s also sacred activism.

Let’s Work Together

I’m currently based in Boulder, Colorado, with additional offerings in Aspen, CO, Asheville, NC and New York. I also work with clients virtually around the world. So, if your soul is whispering it’s time, know that I’m here. With two feet on the earth, open hands, and a heart that knows the way.
